Volusia Speedway Park Welcomes Tyler Bachman as General Manager

Volusia Speedway Park will be under new leadership in 2025 with World Racing Group hiring Tyler Bachman as the new general manager.

Bachman has worked with WRG for nearly 20 years, currently serving as the Series Director for the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series presented by Toyota – a role he will continue to hold in 2025. Prior to that, he spent several years as an official and safety director within the World of Outlaws and DIRTcar Racing family.

“I’m excited to move into this new role with Volusia Speedway Park and help continue its growth as a premier dirt track in the state, and country,” Bachman said. “We have exciting plans for the facility and how to grow its biggest events, which already start in January with DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals.”

Bachman’s passion and commitment to Volusia started during his early days with the company, helping with the upkeep of the facility – painting fences, installing posts, helping with the build of the new grandstands and more. He’s also worked as an official during several Volusia Speedway Park events and served as the promoter for events like the Battle in Barberville, Southern Sprint Car Shootout and Dale and Emil Reutimann Memorial.

He’s also played a key role in several of WRG’s biggest events such as Super DIRT Week and World of Outlaws World Finals.

Volusia Speedway Park will kick off its 2025 season with the DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals, Jan. 22-25 – a true “Late Model Palooza” – featuring the World of Outlaws Late Models, Crate Racin’ USA Late Models and DIRTcar 602 Late Models.

Then, the focus will shift to Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, Jan. 30-Feb. 15. The American Sprint Car Series will make its debut at Volusia Speedway Park, Jan. 30-Feb. 1, accompanied by DIRTcar UMP Modifieds. The following week will see the Modifieds race all week for the Big Gator title and the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will compete for four nights, Feb. 5-8. The final week will showcase the USAC Non-Wing Sprint Cars (Feb. 10-11), DIRTcar Late Models (Feb. 10-12), Super DIRTcar Series (Feb. 12-15), and World of Outlaws Late Models (Feb. 13-15).

The following month, the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars will return to Volusia Speedway Park for the World of Outlaws Bike Week Jamboree, March 2-3.

The full 2025 schedule for the track will be released soon.

Volusia Speedway Park — The World’s Fastest Half Mile — has been in operation for racing since 1968. The track was originally built by Benny Corbin as a way for dirt racing to grow in the Volusia County area. He owned the facility until 1982. Today, World Racing Group owns and operates Volusia Speedway Park, which plays host to the prestigious Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals, and more.
